About this United States eSIM

For a long stay in United States, this plan gives 20 GB of data across 90 days for $22.83 — around $1.78 a week, with nothing to renew along the way.

Spread evenly, that is about 228 MB a day. It is one pool for the whole 90 days rather than a daily cap, so a quiet day leaves more for a busy one.

That is comfortable for navigating all day, keeping up with messages and checking the odd booking, with social media in moderation. Video is best kept for hotel or café Wi-Fi.

Per gigabyte it works out at $1.14/GB, or $0.25 per day of cover.

How far will 20 GB go?

Roughly what the plan covers, if you spend it all on one thing (in total):

Mapsabout 4,100 hours
Browsingabout 340 hours
Socialabout 68 hours
Video callsabout 68 hours
SD videoabout 29 hours

Estimates only — real use depends on the app, the quality setting and the network. Downloading maps and playlists on Wi-Fi before you go stretches any plan much further.

Questions about this plan

Is 20 GB enough for 90 days in United States?

For most people, yes — it covers navigation, messaging, browsing and some social media. It works out at about 228 MB a day if spread evenly.

When does the 90 days validity start?

When the eSIM first connects to a network in United States, not when you buy it. So you can buy and install it before you travel without the clock starting.

What happens if I run out of data?

The eSIM stops using mobile data until you add more. You can buy more data in the Go2Calls app whenever you need it.

Will I keep my own phone number?

Yes. This eSIM carries data only. Your usual SIM stays in the phone for calls and texts, and you choose which line uses mobile data.

Does it renew automatically?

No. It is a one-off purchase of $22.83. When the data or the 90 days run out, it simply ends — no card is kept on file to charge again.

How do I know my phone supports eSIM?

Most iPhones from the XS onward and most recent Android flagships do, but the phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked. On iPhone, look under Settings › General › About for "Digital SIM" or "Available SIM"; on Android, search Settings for "eSIM".

How to set it up

Buy the plan in the Go2Calls app and the eSIM is ready straight away. On your phone, add a new eSIM and scan the QR code the app shows you — on iPhone under Settings › Mobile Data › Add eSIM, on Android under Settings › Network › SIMs. When you arrive in United States, switch mobile data to the new eSIM and turn on data roaming for that line only. Your usual SIM keeps handling calls and texts.
